Acting Seminars Overview
Breakthrough Studios (BTS) gives you the opportunity to audition and meet face to face with NYC's leading Casting Directors and Agents through our well-respected Seminars. Learn more about the industry and how it works, gather that individualized feedback you need in a "one on one", learn how to maximize your career potential, network with fellow actors, and most importantly, get your face and talent in front of the industry eye.

Our pre-screening process has garnered us an excellent reputation among top casting directors and agents. We offer one-on-one meetings,group seminars, and panelist seminars both on and off-camera. All of our events are designed with limited enrollment to ensure more individual face-time for each actor.


Seminar disclaimer

All of our seminars are non-refundable. However, studio credit can be issued if you cancel two business days before a standard seminar and five business days before a master class.

If you are new to BTS and wish to purchase seminars & master classes online, you must call the studio for a pre-screen interview. Our pre-screening process is designed to ensure that actors who are new to the business are not rushing too quickly into industry seminars. Again, please note that a pre-screen interview is required for all actors who are new to BTS.

For all seminars, workshops and classes, please make (2) copies of your scene; one for you and one for the reader. We’re going green so copies will no longer be provided.


Master classes

In addition to our lineup of seminars, BTS provides an in-depth educational opportunity for its students to study with industry professionals in a classroom setting. Unlike seminars, Master Classes delve deeper into a specific skill set with new techniques for auditioning.

These master classes are taught by top industry professionals who have intimate knowledge of what is to be expected in the casting office and on camera. They give you invaluable tools of the trade that can help you get the call back and land the role.
